The University pistol team took sixth place with a score of 1944 in the recent intercollegiate telegraphic pistol competition according to the scores received Saturday by the Department of Military Science. The Alabama Polytechnic Institute team, scoring 2113 points, won the competition and was presented the Challenge Cup by the National Rifle Association. Individual medals were also given to the members of the second and third ranking teams, which were those of the University of Missouri and Oregon Agricultural College, as well as to the winners. The highest individual score was 429, made by J. W. McIntosh of the Alabama team.
