The Faculty of Arts and Sciences will conduct examinations to test elementary knowledge of French; and German on Monday, May 14 and examinations on Tuesday, May 15 to test reading knowledge in the same subject. Both sets of examinations will be held in the New Lecture hall at 5 o'clock. For members of the Class of 1925 and for students who entered with this class, this will be the last opportunity to meet these requirements without incurring disciplinary action. All candidates for these examinations who do not make application in writing at 4 University Hall before 5 o'clock on Thursday, May 10, will be fined $5.00. Should no application be made, the student will not be admitted to the examination room.
In addition to these examinations to test elementary knowledge, the required elementary knowledge of French or German may be met in the follow ways:
1. By passing French A or German A with a satisfactory grade, or by passing a higher course in French or German.
2. By passing the elementary admission examination with a satisfactory grade or by passing the advanced admission examination.
The required reading knowledge can be shown at this time only by passing the special written examination on May 15.
