In its three matches played of Friday and Saturday the University golf team lost to Princeton 4 to 2, defeated Pennsylvania by the same score and also triumphed over Columbia 6 to 0. C. L. Peirson '25 and Clark Hodder '25 each played excellent golf for the Crimson winning every individual match they played.

In the Princeton match at the Greenwich country Club on Friday, the Crimson golfers although winning only tow of the individual matches broke Princeton's record of not having lost a single point in the five games that it had previously played. Peirson in defeating Mudge two up and one to play, and Hodder, who succeeded in nosing out Davisone up in a very close match were the University point scorers. Knepper, the Tiger captain, was given a hard battle by Captain D. A. Williams '23 who finally lost four and three.

In the match on Saturday morning on the links of the Garden City Golf Club against the Red and Blue the Crimson linksmen won three out of four individual matches and one of the two foursomes. In the singles Peirson defeated Conte in spite of the Fact that the Pennsylvanian made four birdies.

On Saturday afternoon the Crimson golfers triumphed over Columbia, winning all the individual and foursome matches. Peirson and Hodder each went around the links in 72, playing almost perfect golf. None of the matches were else with the exception of the Williams-Latham contest which resulted in a victory for the Crimson captain, two up and three to play.
