Rowing a cool and heady race throughout, the Freshman 150-pound crew defeated the Yale Freshman light-weights yesterday afternoon over the mile course on the Housatonic River at Derby, Conn.
Although pressed at all times, the Crimson oarsmen repeatedly shook off all attempts on the part of the Blue shell to challenge their lead and crossed the line with slightly over a length to spare.
It was definitely decided last night that the following men go to Red Top on Sunday as substitutes for the first and second University crews: C.K. Cummings Jr., 23, H.G. Curran '25, J.R. Hoover '24, and M.W. McGreevy '24.
