PRINCETON, N. J., May 2, 1923.--The Princeton baseball team overwhelmed the Fordham nine today by the score of 15 to 6 in a game that was marked by free hitting on both sides. The Tigers took the lead in the second inning, and they were never threatened during the remainder of the contest. Waters, who started on the mound for Fordham, was replaced by Hayes early in the game. Carney, the Princeton twirler, lasted the whole nine innings, and helped win his own game by knocking out a home run and a triple. Princeton only made one error.
The Freshman team went down to defeat before Tome by the score of 6 to 3. The former's errors and failure in pinches were responsible for the Tome victory.
