PROMINENT SPEAKERS AT UNION DINNER TONIGHT

ESSAY PRIZES AND GENERAL MERIT AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED

Judge Robert Grant '73 will be the guest of honor at the annual Union dinner this evening at 7 o'clock. Judge Grant, in addition to his legal accomplishments, is well known as a novelist, essayist, and author of short stories, including "The Confessions of a Frivolous Girl", 'The Little Tin God on Wheels", "An Average Man", "The Knave of Hearts", "The Bachelor's Christmas", 'The Convictions of a Grandfather", and many other volumes. He holds from Harvard the degrees of A.B. (1873), Ph.D. (1876), and LL.B. (1899) and from Columbia that of Litt.D. (1921).

Other speakers at the dinner will include Mr. George Wigglesworth '74, Professor Henri Hauser, Dean C. N. Greenough '98, Professor G. H. Parker '87 and Corliss Lamont '24. Prizes will be awarded to George O'Hanlin Jr. 2G.B. and Henry Reiff '25 for first and second places respectively in the Union essay contest, and to the four Freshman members of the Union who have distinguished themselves in scholarship and general class activities.

Tickets will continue to be on sale at the Union to members until 2 o'clock today.
