Purple Team Has Won Only One of Its Five League Matches

The Crimson links men will meet the Williams golf team at Belmont Springs Country Club this afternoon at 3 o'clock with the same line-up that has been so successful in the previous league matches, in which the University has won three of its four contests. The team will line up: Hodder, one; Williams, two; Peirson, three; Mapes, four; Clough, five; Soule, six.

The Williams golfers have had a rather an impressive record to date. In the last two matches, however, the team has shown a decided improvement. The Purple team has lost to Dartmouth 6 to 3, to Yale 5 to 4, and to Princeton 8 to 1, but has defeated Pennsylvania 4 to 2. The Purple links men will play in the following order: Ward, one; Comstock, two; Captain Simmons, three; Hemphill, four; Brewster, five; Clark, six.
