This afternoon at 4 o'clock, the University baseball team faces the luckless Springfield College nine in the thirteenth contest of the season. The rainy weather of the past week has given the Crimson a rest and a chance for its members to recover from minor injuries suffered in the Holy Cross game. Young will probably start on the mound, so as to give him a long rest before the Princeton game on Saturday.
Although the comparative scores seem to indicate a Crimson victory, the Springfield nine has been coached with today's game as an objective. The University has already had a taste of such last minute rallies when it suffered unexpectedly a reverse at the hands of the University of Maine a week ago. It will enter today's contest with its full strength.
