TUFTS DEFEATS YALE 15-9 IN LOOSELY PLAYED GAME

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

NEW HAVEN, CONN., April 26.--The Yale baseball team was defeated this afternoon by the score of 15 to 9 at the hands of Tufts in a loosely played contest that was marked by hard hitting and erratic fielding. Hartnett, who started on the mound for Yale, was replaced by Hickey early in the game, and at the same time Dann substituted for Mallory behind the bat.

In a practice two-mile race between the Yale Blue and White crews, the former won by four and a quarter boat-lengths. The Blue crew was strengthened by the return of Prudhomme, who has been kept from rowing on account of a slight illness.
