Thirty-three men reported to Coach I. J. Campbell '12 at Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon for the initial practice of the second baseball squad. A light work out was in order, the men going through a short batting and fielding practice. No attempt was made to select a team or to divide the men into squads as there are a number of players who are expects to report today or tomorrow. However a practice game is in store for the men before the end of the week for Coach Campbell will have but a short time in which to select a line-up for the opening game on Wednesday.
Seven pitchers reported yesterday be as yet there is no outstanding candidate for the position. E. L. Brown '24, regular second team pitcher last year, will be ineligible but will practice with the squad.
