LORD ROBERT CECIL TO HOLD APPLETON CHAPEL SERVICE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

At 8.45 o'clock this morning Lord Robert Cecil, who for several weeks has been speaking in the United States and Canada under the auspices of the Foreign Policy Association, will conduct the services in Appleton Chapel. The exercises, which are open to men only, members of the University, will close promptly at 9 o'clock to permit students to reach their classes at that hour.

In his talk in Symphony Hall last night, Lord Cecil described the conception and development of the League of Nations, and tried to point out why a League is necessary and why the present organization is the only one practicable. He also described many of the problems which the League has encountered and settled, attempting to show that the success of the League depends not on coercion but on the force of public opinion.
