Defeat M. I. T. Team on Chestnut Hill Courts by 5-1 Score

The Business School tennis team won its first match of the season when it defeated Technology five matches to one at chestnut Hill yesterday afternoon. The Business School men had a comparatively, easy time in winning all of the singles matches. Russell of M. I. T. offered the greatest resistance and proved the strongest player on the Technology team, while Herndon starred for the University.

The hardest fought and most exciting match of the afternoon was the doubles contest, Russell and McWane versus R. N. Bradley oeC. G. B. and H. M. Stevens 2G. B., which was won by the Engineers after a three-game battle, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.

The complete summary of the other matches was as follows:

Captain E. T. Herndon 2G. B. defeated Captain Tremaine (T), 6-0, 6-4.

F. McG. Bundy 2G. B. defeated Tressel (T), 6-3, 6-4

Bradley defeated Russell (T), 6-4, 6-4.

Stevens defeated Harris (T), 7-5, 6-1.

Herndon and Bundy defeated Tremaine (T) and Tressel (T) 6-3, 6-1.
