University R. O. T. C. Now Preparing for Double Contest on May 3

In preparation for the opening pistol match on May 3 with Boston University, members of the University R. O. T. C. began target practice at the Waverly range yesterday afternoon under the direction of Major E. P. Parker Jr. A first squad will be picked as a result of the shooting during this week from which five men will ultimately be chosen to represent the University.

The first of the series of telegraphic matches will be held on May 3 when the team will meet Boston University and the Alabama Polytechnic Institute. On May 10 the West Point and University of Wisconsin teams, will oppose the Crimson. At a somewhat later date not vet definitely settled matches for the championship of the R. O. T. C. Field Artillery Units from all over the country will be held. A triangular shoot with Yale and Princeton is also being planned.
