A. S. Simmons '24 to Lead Orchestra of More Than 50 Pieces During Dancing After Concert at Framingham Ball

The University Band will play tonight at the Framingham Charity Ball for the benefit of the Framingham Hospital at 8 o'clock tonight under the direction of A. S. Simmons '24. Of late the band has beeen working on Tschaikowsky's Symphony in F minor and the Grieg suite, Sigurd Jorsalfar, which it will present for the first time tonight as part of its concert program.

At the close of the concert the band will furnish music for dancing which will follow. An addition of eight violins, four cellos, and two bass viols will be made so that the band will, as a dance orchestra, consist of more than 50 pieces.

The concert program will be as follows: 1.  Mlle. Modiste  Herbert 2.  Melodie  Friml 3.  The Swan  Saint-Saens 4.  Katinka  Friml 5.  Symphony in F minor No. 4 (Finale)  Tschaikowsky 6.  Orientale (from Kaleidoscope)  Cui 7.  Huldigungsmarsch (Triumphal March) from Sigurd Jorsalfar  Grieg 8.Fair Harvard
