Fifty-eight members of the Glee Club, under the direction of Dr. A. T. Davison '06, will leave for New York at 1 o'clock this afternoon on the annual spring trip. In the repertoire of the club, there are two chansons dedicated to it by Mr. Guy Ropartz, head of the Conservatory of Music in Strasbourg, Germany, and a song, "The House Among the Trees", written by Mr. Edward Ballantine of the Music Department of the University.
Tonight a concert will be given at Carnegie Hall, and immediately afterward, the club will be entertained by the Harvard Club of New York City.
From New York the club will go to Philadelphia to sing on Monday, April 16, and the next day it will be in Buffalo. After a concert in Detroit next Wednesday, the tour will end in Cleveland on April 19. A special rehearsal will be held with the Cleveland orchestra at the Masonic Hall for the "Chant de guerre" by Florent Schmitt.
