ITHAGA, N. Y., April 12.--The Cornell football squad held its first spring practice today, at which sixty men reported, including Captain-elect Pfann. The season was opened on April 3 with a meeting of all the candidates in Schoellkopf Memorial Hall, and will last until about May 12.

Coach Dobie gave the men a light work-out today which consisted chiefly of conditioning exercises. He hopes that the squad will eventually be increased to 100 candidates.
