8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Considerably benefited from the experience received in the Boston University and Connecticut Agricultural College games, the University nine will face Wesleyan on Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The team and batting order used in last Monday's game will remain intact, with the exception of the mound position which will be filled by L. J. Young '23, who was a member of his Freshman baseball squad and of last year's second team. Percy Jenkins '24 has not yet been able to report on account of the injury he received in the Boston University game.
In the practice today Trainer Donovan took charge of the outfielders and infielders, with the exception of the first team infield which was drilled by Coach Slattery in the cage. Because of the cold weather the battery men were also kept in the cage.
Little is known of the strength of this year's Wesleyan team except for the fact that they defeated Rhode Island State on Saturday 10 to 7 in a bat-fest that resulted in 18 base hits, two doubles and two triples. The Wesleyan team has had two weeks of outdoor practice.
