Basing his decision on the results of the second one-mile trial race, held Saturday afternoon in the Charles River Basin, Coach Haines has selected the first and second Freshman eights. Four members of the Red crew, which won the race are retained on the first crew. The other four men rowed on the White crew, which came in last, defeated by the Blues by a scant ten feet.
The new seating is as follows:
Crew A.--Bow, V. F. Righter; 2, F. P. Weymer; 3, Richard Trimble Jr.; 4, Albert Tilt Jr.; 5, C. H. Bradford; 6, C. F. Darlington Jr.; 7, D. H. Leavitt; stroke, J. W. Adie; coxswain, A. M. Carrillo.
Crew B.--Bow, G. D. Krumbhaar; 2, H. R. Gale; 3, Robert Winthrop; 4, W. K. Manly; 5, D. C. Gates; 6, C. O'D. Isolin; 7, R. K. Fox Jr.; stroke, Dudley Merrill; coxswain, W. E. Beer Jr.
It has been announced that the members of the Freshman squad would probably cut their vacation short by returning to college on Wednesday. This will allow four additional days of practice. The schedule will open on April 28 with two four-oar races against Exeter.
