RED BOOK DIVIDES ITS BUSINESS DEPARTMENT

L. H. Sherrill to Handle Advertising, While R. H. Schacht Will Collect Subscriptions--Will Appoint 10 Men

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Due to the amount of work that confronts the business end of the Red Book, it has been decided by the executive committee to place L. H. Sherrill in entire charge of advertising, while supervision of the collecting of subscriptions has been handed over to R. H. Schacht. Both departments, however, are to work in cooperation under D. LeB. Sweeney, who is the general business manager. There will be only one sub-chairmanship awarded, instead of two, but at the end of six weeks, the men in charge of the competition will appoint approximately ten men who will become members of the committee.

In the Editorial department, assignments were allotted last Tuesday, and these will be due tonight. There will then be a cut, and another assignment given out. W. I. Nichols, who is chairman of the department, expects that the number will be thinned down to 10 in three weeks, and after that time, there will be a smaller competition for the sub-chairmanship.

Although work on the Red Book began ten days later than usual, it is expected that the book will be on sale by June 1.
