BULLDOG HERE FOR FIERCE FIGHT IN ARENA TONIGHT

The Crimson sextet, although at the end of a strenuous season, will be at its full strength when it clashes with the Blue tonight at 8.15 o'clock in the Arena in the second game of the 1923 series with Yale.

Although the Crimson is a slight favorite, having defeated Yale in the last contest on January 20, the Elis have improved greatly and the result of tonight's melee is by no means a foregone conclusion. A defeat for the Blue will mean the loss of the series, while one for the University will only tie it and necessitate a third game at New Haven next week.

The Crimson squad held its final practice for about half an hour last night at the Arena. Coach Claflin and Mr. Robert Winsor '05 were on the ice during the work-out and put the team through a light shooting practice. Beals did not appear in uniform but both he and Guild will be ready to take part in today's contest.

The Yale squad of 13 players will arrive this afternoon at 3.40 o'clock and dine this evening at the Hotel Lenox. The team will return to New Haven tonight after the game.

Reid, at center, will probably be the leader of the Yale attack with Captain Bulkley at left wing also a powerful factor in the offense. The team has been strengthened recently by the return of Turnbull, the regular right wing, who has been out of the line-up for two weeks on account of illness. O'Hearn, the star of the team, will be at right defense with Vaughan, who has recently taken Sargent's place at left defense, as his running mate. Jenkins, who has been an unusually steady performer this year, will bear the brunt of the Crimson attack at goal.

Yale has met four teams this year that have faced the University. The Blue was defeated by Princeton 4-3 on January 24, but won the second game 1-0, while the University has won two out of three contests with the Tigers. Dartmouth has defeated both of tonight's contestants, the Blue 3-2 and the Crimson 1-0, but the Crimson has beaten M. I. T. and the St. Nicholas Club by the scores of 10-0 and 5-1 respectively, while Yale won from the former by only 6-0 and lost to St. Nicholas 5-4. Since the last meeting with the Crimson the Elis have also defeated the University of Pennsylvania, the Massachusetts Aggies, Amherst, and Hamilton, losing only to the New Haven Bears 5-1. The University, in addition to the above games has beaten Milwaukee, Queens College, and Cornell, and lost to the B. A. A. team.
