The Crimson will open two competitions, one for the news and the other for the business department, Tuesday night with a meeting in Standish Hall Common Room at 7 o'clock. The competitions are open only to Freshmen, and offer the last opportunity which members of the Class of 1926 will have to make the Crimson board during their first year.
Mr. Fifield Workum '20, a former president of the Crimson, will speak at the meeting, which will also be addressed by the present president, the managing editor, and the business manager. These men will describe the general work of the paper, as well as the details of the competitions.
Candidates for the Business Department will be permitted to attend the talk on advertising in the Crimson Sanctum after the meeting Tuesday night, while the news candidates will begin actual work Wednesday evening when they will report at the Crimson Building.
