A college costume ball will be given by Simmons College at the Boston Arena on Friday evening, April 27, from 9 to 1 o'clock, the proceeds of the ball going to the Simmons College Endowment Fund. This will include both an informal dance and a carnival, many special features being planned for the program. The ball is intended to be primarily a costume dance, but costumes will not be required for admission. There will be several prizes given for the wearers of the best costumes.

A number of institutions are combining in an attempt to make the dance successful. Besides Simmons, these are Radcliffe College, Boston University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard. The boxes around the dancing floor will be divided so that a group of them will go to each of the institutions participating.

Tickets, at $1.50 each, may be purchased later at the Crimson Building, or may be obtained now from Miss Florence Ross, Simmons College, 2 Short Street, Boston.

The patronesses for the ball are:

Mrs. George R. Agassiz, Mrs. George P. Baker, Mrs. Henry S. Grew, Mrs. B. Nason Hamlin, Mrs. Louis K. Liggett, Mrs. Charles Mason, Mrs. John B. Paine, Mrs. Benjamin F. Pitman, Mrs. John Reed Post, Miss Evelyn Sears, Mrs. Nathaniel Thayer, Mrs. Edwin S. Webster, Mrs. A. Winsor Weld.
