8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
President Lowell, Mr. Langdon P. Marvin '98, president of the Associated Harvard Clubs, George Owen Jr. '23, first marshal of the class of 1923, B. DeL. Nash '23, class secretary, and Sheridan Logan '23, treasurer, will be the speakers at a Senior Smoker which will be held on Wednesday evening, March 21, at 8 o'clock in the Living Room of the Union. Mr. Marvin, who, besides being president of the Associated Harvard Clubs, is an Overseer of the College, will speak on the duties and relations of the graduates to the University, and the work of various graduate activities. This is a distinctly new feature which has been added to the program this year for the first time.
Another innovation which has been introduced is the extending of an invitation to the graduating class in each of the University schools, graduate and undergraduate, to attend the smoker. This is being done to give the men in these classes an opportunity to hear Mr. Marvin's talk and to promote their understanding of the connection between graduates' and the University.
The program will also include moving pictures, refreshments, and cigarettes. Bert Lowe's orchestra will furnish the music. Men who are eligible will be admitted irrespective of membership in the Union.
