At a meeting of the Senior class officers and the Senior picnic Committee held last evening it was the unanimous opinion to give up the Senior Picnic, at least in its traditional form. No final action was taken, however, and it was announced that suggestions from members of the class in regard to a substitute for the picnic would be given every possible consideration.
It was the view of the officers and committee that the picnic, in its present form should be abolished and that the reasons for such action were numerous and obvious. It was also felt that the picnic, although a tradition, was obsolete and even dangerous.
To determine the opinion of the class, men have been asked to send their suggestions for a possible substitute for the picnic to the chairman of the Picnic Committee at the Crimson Building.
