ROOTS DOWNS HINKLE IN SQUASH

But Is Eliminated in Second Match of University Tournament

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the University squash tournament, which has advanced to the second round, the outstanding match to date has been the surprising upset of Captain E. M. Hinkle '23 by J. McC. Roots '25. However, Roots was eliminated in his second match by F. L. Turner 3L. R. S. Wright '26 is thus far the only Freshman who has entered the second round. Channing Wakefield 2L advanced to the third round by an easy victory over J. J. Glessner '25, who has been playing on the University squad.

As the tournament has progressed to date rather slowly, the matches from now on will be speeded up in order to finish the tournament within the next week and a half.
