YALE FRESHMEN APT TO BREAK CRIMSON RECORD

The Freshman hockey team will meet by far the strongest team on its schedule when it plays the Yale Freshmen at 3 o'clock this afternoon in the New Haven Arena.

With Ferguson, a fast skater and clever stick-handler in the center of the aggressive Blue 'forward-line and Captain Potts and Cole forming a stiff defense, the Crimson sextet will be forced to the limit to score. The brilliant individual work of these players, which largely explains Yale's record of six victories and only one defeat, may offset the effective team-work of the Crimson Freshmen. The only opponent that both teams have met this year is Andover. The Yale yearlings downed the schoolboys by a score of 6-0, as compared with the 6-3 victory of the Crimson.

Captain Harding has proved himself a dependable leader in the center of the Crimson forward line, and with Howe at left wing the Yale net should never be free from danger. The defensive pair, Martin and Pratt, have broken up attack consistently, but seem to lack the ability to take the puck back into their opponents territory. Bradford, playing in the net, has stopped the puck brilliantly all season.

In a twenty-minute informal scrimmage with the University skaters yesterday afternoon at the Arena in Boston, Coach Angler stressed the necessity of fast passing and consistent checking back.
