Of the 28 colleges in New England 22 were represented at the annual meeting of the provincial conference held at Hartford. Conn., by the Department of Religious Education of the National Student Council of the Episcopal Church. The conference, which closed Sunday, was convened for the purpose of forwarding religious education work in the colleges of New England.

The delegates from the University were E. R. Belden '25, R. S. Hubbard Jr. '24, E. W. Littell '26, T. G. Littell '26, H. H. MacCubbin '25, F. P. Taft '26 and the Reverend G. L. Paine '96, assistant rector at Christ Church. S. W. Bell '25 also attended the conference.

R. S. Hubbard Jr. '24 was elected president of the conference. Miss Mary Reynolds of Smith was elected vice president and F. W. Browne of Bowdoin was elected editor of the Provincial Student Council bulletins.

The aim of the conference was to forward the growth and work of Episcopal Church organizations in the colleges. This was accomplished by passing a series of resolutions drawn up from discussion of different questions about religion at college. Resolutions were passed urging that the college organizations forward discussion tending to religious education, and that these organizations maintain relations with the National Student Council.
