Over 50 Freshmen reported last night in the Smith Halls Common Room for the organization of a Freshman Discussion Club, which will meet again next Thursday evening and which is planned to develop first year debaters. The most important action of the meeting was the appointment by Philip Walker '24, President of the Debating Council, of an organization committee, the chairman of which, J. S. Donaldson '27, who had led the evening's discussion, was unanimously elected by those present.

The meeting opened with an explanation of the two debating organizations of the University, the Debating Council and the Debating Union, by Walker and F. E. Bowman '24 of the Council, and Charlton MacVeagh '24, who represented the Union.
