PLAYERS URGED TO THINK FOOTBALL ALL THE TIME

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"Keep football under your hats all the time", was the counsel of Captain-elect Greenough to nearly a hundred candidates for next year's eleven at the Varsity Club last night. His statement voiced the spirit of the entire gathering. Every speaker laid stress on the fact that all the most successful teams think football all the time. "Notre Dame," said Coach J. L. Knox '98, "thinks football twelve months and plays it nine months a year."

Coach Fisher said that last night's meeting was the first of several get-togethers which will be held this winter. "Get to know each other now," he advised. "You'll be well enough acquainted next fall".

The main speakers of the evening, Coach Knox and M. J. Logan '15, discussed the offensive and defensive methods used this season by outstanding Eastern elevens, notably Cornell and Notre Dame. At the next meeting, to be held soon after Christmas, moving pictures of the Princeton and Yale games will be shown.
