DE GANAHL AND WHITE TO WRITE PUDDING SHOW

GEORGE M. COHAN WILL ASSIST AUTHORS TO REWRITE BOOK

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Hasty Pudding Theatricals announced last night that Joe de Ganahl '25 and William A. White Jr. '24 will write the 1924 Pudding Show.

Mr. Louis Silvers, the producer, and the other judges, reached their decision only after the greatest difficulty. Mr. Silvers said of the decision: "The plays submitted this year reach a higher average of excellence than have any plays submitted since I have been connected with the Pudding. It was no disgrace to lose."

The show, which de Ganahl and White will rewrite, concerns the plot of a play within a play and involves an extremely original situation. There is considerable mystery as to the nature of the plot, for it is said to be something new in musical comedy. Mr. George M. Cohan, now acting in one of his own plays in Boston, is assisting the authors with their book.

This afternoon members of the club will report for the cast, although rehearsals will not begin until January.
