B. U. AND CRIMSON TO CLASH AT ARENA

But Victory Was Not Due to Any Outstanding Hockey on Part of the Bostonians

The University team will play its first intercollegiate game of the season tonight, when it meets Boston University at the Arena at 8.15 o'clock. The contest should afford an opportunity for Coach Winsor to try out his second and third string teams in action, which he was unable to do when the Crimson met the Aura Lees last Saturday. The game tonight will be three 15 minute periods.

The B. U. outfit found little trouble in defeating M. I. T. a week ago Friday by a 7 to 1 score, but failed to show great power in doing so. The victory was due more to the lack of cooperation on the part of the Engineers than to any particularly effective individual or team play for the Terriers. The better part of the B. U. scores came as the result of mob rushes down the ice or of rough and tumble melees in front of the Technology cage.

During the last period of the game the M. I. T. forwards kept the puck down at the B. U. end of the rink for most of the time, but failed to produce the final punch on all occasions, save the one which won them their lone tally.

The center of interest at the Arena yesterday afternoon was the material for the 1927 team. After a long practice session the Freshman squad was cut to 29 players.
