How Cambridge’s Political Power Brokers Shape the 2025 Election
The University football captain for 1924 will be elected this afternoon. The 25 men who played in the Yale game will assemble at Notman's Studio at 1.05 to be photographed, and the election will be held at that time. Harvard is one of the last of the Eastern universities to make the selection. Six of the teams which the Crimson will face next fall have announced their new captains as follows: Virginia, Arnold, back; Holy Cross, Mahaney, end; Dartmouth, Bjorkman, end; Princeton, Stout, end; Brown, Sheldon, end; Yale, Lovejoy, center. Among the University's opponents, end is clearly the favorite position, four wing-men having been chosen to lead their teams in the Stadium. Other colleges have shown different preferences throughout the East, with tackle the foremost position, from which ten leaders have been chosen for next year.
