Under the auspices of the Division of Music, Dr. A. T. Davison '06 will give an organ recital this afternoon at Appleton Chapel.
Professor W. R. Spalding '87 will deliver a brief address on "The Significance of Fugal Style". The program will consist entirely of Bach, except for Merkel's Canon in F-sharp major and Schuman's Canon in B minor. The Bach numbers include a toccata and fugue in D major, a fugue in D major, a prelude and fugue in G major, and a fantasia and fugue in A minor.
Although the recital is primarily for students of Music 4, it will be open to the public.
