RACE WILL REIGH SUPREME IN ORGAN RECITAL BY DAVISON

Only Two Numbers From Other Composers Will be Included in Program

Under the auspices of the Division of Music, Dr. A. T. Davison '06 will give an organ recital this afternoon at Appleton Chapel.

Professor W. R. Spalding '87 will deliver a brief address on "The Significance of Fugal Style". The program will consist entirely of Bach, except for Merkel's Canon in F-sharp major and Schuman's Canon in B minor. The Bach numbers include a toccata and fugue in D major, a fugue in D major, a prelude and fugue in G major, and a fantasia and fugue in A minor.

Although the recital is primarily for students of Music 4, it will be open to the public.
