PLAN FOR NEW ROWING TANK WILL COME FROM SYRACUSE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

If plans materialize as expected, the Newell Boat House will be equipped with a remodelled rowing tank in the near future. Coach Stevens is considering a trip to Syracuse University, where the newest design has been installed, to study the most distinctive features with a view to altering the plant now in use at Harvard.

A competent engineer will accompany Coach Stevens to give advice regarding the mechanics of the apparatus, one feature of which is an unusually rapid flow of water through the tank, rendering the resistance on the oars realistic to a remarkable degree.
