Running Events of Handicap Contest Completed Yesterday--Bunker Places First in 220, Chapin in 880

In spite of the slow track yesterday the sprinters and distance men chalked up some unusually good records in the fall handicap track meet. In the 220 Brooks at scratch finished a foot behind Bunker, who was given six yards and who made the distance in 23 seconds flat. With a five yard handicap Chapin took the 880 in 2m 01 4-5s, while Cutcheon, only a stride behind, covered the entire distance as scratch man in 2m. 2s.

The races run yesterday were postponed from the day before on account of darkness, and completed the list of rack events. The management intends to hold competitions in the field events shortly after the football season is over.

The summary, with individual handicaps, is as follows:

100-yard Dash.--Won by Rubin (8); Eaton (3) second; Broome (2), third. Time, 10 3-5s.

220-yard Dash.--Won by Chapin (5); Cutcheon (scratch), second; Kobes (25), third. Time 23s.

440-yard Run.--Won by Bunker (5); Magoun (scratch), second; Barker (8), third. Time, 54s.

880-yard Run.--Won by Bunker (6); Brooks (scratch), second; Eaton (5), third. Time, 2m 1 4-5s.

One mile Run.--Won by Cutcheon; Fether, second; Ryan, third. Time 4m 40 2-5s.

Two Mile Run.--Won by Chapin; Kobes, second; Parker, third. Time, 10m. 17 2-5s.

60-yard High Hurdles.--Won by McAdams; Thomas, second; Weinstein, third. Time, 11 1-5s.

110-yard Low Hurdles.--Won by Thomas; McAdams, second; Weinstein, third. Time 17 1-5s.
