"I don't know anything about it," said F. W. Moore '03, graduate treasurer of the Harvard Athletic Association, when questioned on Saturday as to the truth of the (recently published) statement that Coach Jack Slattery was to resign from the leadership of Harvard's baseball coaching staff.
"Neither do I," said Coach Slattery on being asked to verify the statement, which declared that Coach Slattery, after serving for four years as baseball coach at Harvard, was planning to resign that position for personal business reasons as soon as his four year contract has expired this spring.
Mr. Moore declared that he intended to offer Coach Slattery a renewal contract on the same terms as those under which he has served in recent-years, and Coach Slattery stated that he intended to sign it.
