PICKED QUINTETS WILL GIVE EXHIBITION MATCH TONIGHT

Idea is to Demonstrate Interpretation of New Basketball Rules

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The basketball team, in accordance with a custom inaugurated two years ago, will hold this evening at 8 o'clock in the Hemenway Gymnasium an exhibition match between two quintets picked from the experienced members of the first squad.

The purpose of this game is to demonstrate the interpretation of basketball rules, and to create interest in the sport. Mr. D. V. Kelly, president of the Eastern Massachusetts Board of Approved Officials, will umpire the contest. Whenever any questionable point arises, or whenever anybody desires information on the interpretation of the rules after a particular play, the game will be stopped and the explanation made.

The match will be played not only to help the members of the squad understand the principles and theories of the game, but also for any outsiders who are interested in basketball. No admission will be charged.
