At a Freshman fencing tournament held in Hemenway Gymnasium yesterday afternoon, eight of the 30 Freshmen who are reporting to Coach Danguy for fencing instruction won positions on the Freshman fencing squad, from which the newly authorized 1927 fencing team will be selected. The tournament was run as a round robin with three-touch bouts. A similar tournament will be held tomorrow for fencers from the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior classes, which will be played off in five-touch bouts.
The Freshman squad now consists of K. J. White, Frank Hollis, Robert Marvin, H. L. Smyth Jr., R. D. McMullan, W. F. Farr, K. Foss, S. D. Richards.
