While Yale was defeating Harvard 13-0 last Saturday, and the Cornell team was resting for its game with Pennsylvania this week, the California football team ended its triumphant season, undefeated and unscored on, when it overwhelmed its most formidable rival, Stanford University, 9-0. This victory gives the California team the championship of the Pacific Conference for the fourth consecutive year.
In Saturday's game California concluded a series of nine straight wins in which it piled up 124 points while its opponents were held scoreless.
Although Yale and California closed their victorious seasons on Saturday, Cornell has yet to defeat the strong University of Pennsylvania eleven before being added to the list of unbeaten football teams.
