The football critic of the Yale Daily News, in discussing the Harvard playing against Princeton last Saturday, said the Fisher eleven displayed "a brand of football that could have been little less than a disappointment to the Crimson supporters" and "showed nothing new or deceptive but stuck to the straightest type of old-fashioned Yale plunging, reminiscent of Yale plays a few years ago."

He considered the "massive forward line" powerful but declared it "faltered in the critical moments", although he praised the individual work of the Crimson guards and tackles.
