At a meeting of the Massachusetts Squash Racquets Association held last night it was decided to hold the State squash racquets tournament at the University squash courts on January 14, 1924. This tournament will be open to the members of all the clubs in the association. An invitation will also be sent to several Canadian teams in return for their courtesies in past seasons. It was also decided to hold the National Tournament in Boston at the Boston Athletic Association courts on February 22, 1924. This tournament will be a sectional one, each association appointing a team of five men to compete. An individual tournament will be conducted at the same time. To both of these tournaments an invitation to participate has been sent to the London Squash Racquets team.
At the same meeting the Freshman Squash Racquets team was admitted to membership in B league of the Massachusetts Squash Racquets Association. All the home matches of the Freshman team will be held in the new courts in the Freshman Gymnasium. The squash season will start officially with a meeting of candidates to be held the first week in November. At that meeting Coach H. C. Cowles will outline the plans for the year.
