Several upsets were recorded in the results of yesterday's rounds of the Jackson Cup tournament. W. L. Coleman 1G. defeated Leighton Brewer 1G. who had been picked for a possible winner, in two straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
Donald Stralem '24 took a set unexpectedly from Alden Briggs '26, before he finally lost to Briggs, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2. C. G. Martin '24 succeeded in defeating Patrick Morgan '26, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.
The fifth round has five matches to go before its completion, but the tournament will not be resumed until Monday.
Six of the doubles matches were played yesterday, and two of these were won by default.
SINGLES
The results of the third round played yesterday on Jarvis Field folow: Phillip Boone '26 defeated E. F. Craig '25, 6-1, 6-0.
The results of the fourth round follow: Parke Cummings '25 defeated Phillip Boone '26, 0-6, 6-4, 6-0; H. N. Snow 1G., defeated Torrance Parker Jr. '27, 6-3, 6-2.
