A meeting of the Track Advisory Committee yesterday afternoon and a secret gathering of the Athletic Committee late last night added nothing to the track coach situation.
Bill Bingham, former University track coach, appeared on the scene of the present controversy at the Track Advisory Committee meeting yesterday afternoon. Although his part in the proceedings was veiled in secrecy, he was present at cross-country practice after the meeting and rode around the river course with acting Coach Farrell during the first time trials of the season.
The Athletic Committee meeting last night was even more secretive than the advisory meeting in the afternoon. Held in the office of Dean L. B. R. Briggs on the top floor of University Hall, the council lasted from 8.30 until well after 11 o'clock.
