An elaborate series of chess tournaments have been arranged for the Harvard chess team, whose season will start tonight at 8 o'clock with a meeting of candidates in the Club Room of the Harvard Union. A tournament will start tonight to determine the ten men who are to compose the team that will meet Princeton on the evening of November 9, Yale on the eve of the Harvard-Yale football game, and the members of the Metropolitan Chess League during the winter.
An interdormitory chess tournament for the Kenna freshman chess trophy, won last year by Gore Hall, will also begin soon.
