Swede Elected 1927 Harrier Captain

B. E. Suede '27 of Norristown, Pa., was elected captain of the Freshman cross-country team at a meeting of the team members last night. Suede is a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and ran on the team there. He has been the first man of the 1927 squad to finish in each of the races which the Freshmen have participated in this year.

An interscholastic cross-country meet is scheduled for next-Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Stadium. This is the second year for this meet to the winner of which a cup is awarded by the H. A. A. to be retained by the winner for one year. Saturday 12 preparatory schools will compete, and among these will be Andover, the winner of last year's contest. In charge of the meet is J. K. Collins '25, assistant manager of the cross-country team.
