The University Lacrosse team defeated the Boston Lacrosse Club by a score of 3-1 yesterday in the only game of the fall practice. The attack of the University was much more spirited and efficient than usual in spite of the fact that two of the three attack men are newcomers. The scoring for the CRIMSON was done by Captain W. G. Thomas LE.S., M. L. Lawrence '26 and A. E. Reed 2E.S., while Abee made the only tally for the Boston players. Boston threatened to score many more times but were always held off by H. L. Kelsey 2E.S., playing at the goal for the University.
Practice will be resumed in the Spring as early in March as weather permits. By that time a regular coach will in all probability have been chosen. Several men have been suggested as prospects but no definite announcement has been made as yet by C. E. Marsters '67 Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Lacrosse.
The Summary: Goals, by Lawrence, Reed, Thomas and Abbee. Referee, C. E. Marsters '07.
