If the records of the Boston Police force are admitted as evidence, Diogenes would certainly have been at home in the Stadium saturday. While numberous thousands gathered at the battleground, the enforcers of the law metaphorically rolled up their sleeves, preparing for a brisk business.

But all precautions were unnecessary. For the first time in many years not a single pick-pocket; not a single automobile thief was doing business in the crowd that filled the Stadium. After every game in the past cases of theft ranging from watches to automobiles have been reported.
