The world's series came to an end yesterday afternoon in an 6-4 Yankee victory, when the Giants blew up in the eigth inning and gave their rivals five runs, the series, and the world's championship. The Giants knocked out ten hits, but these were distributed over several innings. The Yankees, on the other hand, found the road to victory in one inning, in which they got only three hits. An error by the Giants and walks by Nehf helped to the extent of five runs. Ruth started the scoring in the first with a home run.
Score by innings: Batteries: Yankees,--Pennock and Shang; Giants,--Nehf and Snyder.
