The scope of its activity was materially broadened when the Graduate School of Business Administration was chosen to supervise the award of the eight annual prizes to be known as the Harvard Advertising Awards, founded by Mr. Edward W. Bok to "encourage merit and stimulate improvement in advertising".
For the current year in all awards the advertising must have been published wholly or in part during the period from October, 1923 to October, 1924 or the advertising research must have been done wholly or in part during that time to be eligible for consideration. The awards to be given for this year's work are; A gold medal for distinguished personal service, three prizes of $1,500 each for planning and research and four prizes of $1000 each for distinguished individual advertisements.
