COL. MARIX TO SPEAK ON SANTO DOMINGO BEFORE LIBERAL CLUB

Officer in U. S. Marine Corps to Give Address at 6.45--Was on Island Several Years.

Colonel A. T. Marix of the United States Marine Corps will address the Liberal Club at 6.45 this evening on "Santo Domingo". The speech will be open to all members of the University.

During the years 1926-18, Colonel Marix was District and Departmental Commander of Marines in Santo Domingo. Later for a period of 16 months, he was on duty as United States Naval Attache for Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Colonel Marix returned to Santo Domingo in 1920, occupying for a year and a half the positions of Minister of Justice, Education, and Foreign Relations on the staff of the Military Governor. He is at present on duty at the Boston Navy Yard.
